This pattern is an intermediate pattern and features unique diamond and stripe piecing. Diamonds come in an array of hues from colorless white to charcoal black and every other color under then sun. Seeing all these gems in a display case can be breath taking. This quilt was inspired by the picture of different gems, real and imagined, sitting beautifully on a velvet cushion just waiting for the chance to shine.
