The story behind the Silly Goose

This little guy has taken over my sewing room - I currently have 12 of them sitting around, and I have plans for more. Fair warning: once you make one, you won't stop.

I went through about four different drafts before I got things exactly the way I wanted. I shortened the neck, shortened the beak, altered the shape of the head, and rounded the belly so it sits on its own. I changed the shape of the back, trying to get more of a feather vibe, and redesigned the feet through several different versions. The result is a goose that's distinctly its own thing, and the mod possibilities are where this pattern really shines.

ABOUT KRISTIN

Hi, I'm Kristin
the maker behind woollypetals

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two amazing (and slightly crazy) kids, married to my wonderful husband since 2004, and still madly in love with him. I spend my days playing, taking care of my family, and crafting late into the night.

I started woollypetals as a creative outlet, a place to share my love of all things crafty, cute, DIY, and vintage. Somewhere along the way, it became a pattern business, and I couldn't be happier about how it's grown.
