Join us on September 12, 2026, from 10 AM–1 PM with Special Guest Kristin Rauch of woollypetals. 

In this class, you will make the 36-inch stuffed sardine pillow! You will learn multiple assembly options from the designer who created this adorable pattern. Please indicate your colorway choice, A or B, at registration.

This 3-hour class includes:

  • Pattern and instructions by Kristin Rauch
  • Fabric for your sardine pillow
  • 2.5"x4.5" white and 2"x3.5" black felt or quilting cotton for the Eyes

Additional supplies needed:

  • Sewing machine, power cord, and foot control
  • Thread
  • Extra bobbins
  • Sewing supplies (i.e., scissors, rotary cutter, pins, sewing needles, etc.)
  • Pen and paper for notes
  • Stuffing (12 oz minimum)

The story behind the Sardine Pillow

The Sardine Pillow is a fun idea I had a while ago - like, a long time ago - and I finally just decided this spring that I was going to make one already. I took some time, made one, and can I just say, I love it. But also SO many people loved it when I shared it on Instagram that it seemed like a no-brainer to make it a pattern. A little over a month later, the pattern was fully tested and released.

Fair warning: this pattern is addicting. I don't even need a Sardine Pillow, but somehow I have 12 or more now. You are going to want to make multiple options and try out so many fabric combos.
