PATCHWORK PATTERNS Re-Booted: Learn Precision Patchworking Class (Summer/Fall Session)

THIS IS A HANDS-ON CLASS and meets in person at BERNINA of Naperville

Have you always wanted to learn how to quilt? It starts by making the patchwork. In the 10-part class, you will be guided through all of the steps to create a traditional sampler quilt.

Gayle has been teaching this class for close to 20 years and it never disappoints. She will teach you the traditional quilting techniques she learned while living in Vermont, but also has modern tricks up her sleeves for the modern quilter.

We have an in-person Meet-Up scheduled on Saturdays from 2-5 pm. During the meet-ups, you will make traditional patchwork blocks. Learn both old-school and modern techniques, as well as the history of the featured blocks in each lesson.

• August 1: Lesson 1: Introduction, Rail Fence, and Jacob's Ladder
• August 18: Lesson 2: Variable Star, Flying Geese, and sawtooth star
• August 29: Lesson 3: Log Cabin, Bear's Paw 
• September 12: Lesson 4: Drunkard's Path and Orange Peel
• September 26: Lesson 5: Dresden Plate, Grandmother's Flower Garden and Applique
• October 10: Lesson 6: Storm at Sea
• October 24: Lesson 7: Le Moyne Star, and Bowtie
• November 7: Lesson 8: Square in a square and Pineapple Block
• November 21: Lesson 9: Squaring up your blocks and laying it out, sashing and basting
• December 5: Lesson 10: Quilting suggestions
