Patchwork Patterns: Start Quilting Class Bundle
In this 8-week course, you will learn from the very beginning with hands-on instruction the basics of patchwork. We will cover fabric selection and piecing using all of the necessary tools and tried and true techniques Each of your 9, 12" blocks will be a learning opportunity. In the last class, you will learn how to set the blocks, add sashings and even complete the design with a mitered border! Don't worry if you do not know what that means, you will by the end of this class.
Each class meets Thursdays starting January 16 running through March 12 (we will not meet February 27 due to C2E2)
January 16: Introduction, Rail Fence
January 23: Log Cabin
January 30: Variable Star
February 6: Drunkard's Path
February 13: Bear's Paw
February 20: Grandmother's Flower Garden and Dresden Plate
March 5: Le Moyne Star
March 12: Hand Applique, Sashing, Borders and Basting
1 1/2 Yards of light background fabric
3/4 Yard of main print (2 Yards if incorporating into outer border)
2 Fat 1/4s dark fabric
2 Fat 1/4s medium fabric
Above yardage amounts do not include sashing fabrics. You will pick those out in the last class session.

There will also be various notions, cutting tools, pressing devices and such recommended throughout the class.
Please remember that there are various methods to quilting, we will show you tips, tricks and provide expertise instruction, but ultimately you will find your own favorite techniques.
