Easy Beginner Shirt for All Bodies

In this four-part class, you will make an easy "Scout T-shirt" with your choice of fabric.

Class includes all of the supplies to make this blouse and use of classroom machines.

• Pattern from Grainline Studios
• Fabric
• 2 Yards of muslin
• 2 Yards of apparel fabric

You supply the Thread and basic sewing notions.

Class 1: Learning to measure yourself, read a pattern, transfer markings and alterations, and cut out the muslin. Assembling the Muslin (mock-up shirt) - Learn to use a seam allowance guide, sew in a sleeve, an alter for exact fitting

Class 2: Constructing the final garment - Overcast raw edges, press for success and pinning tips.

Class 3: The finishing touches - Bind neckline, sleeve and shirt hem. Ideas to add some fancy frills to this basic pattern for your second go at it (out side of class ;))

IMPORTANT: 1 week before class, please come in and choose your fabric, so that you have time to launder it.
